Research team: Prof. Alfredo De Massis, Dr. Vittoria Magrelli, Dr. Paola Rovelli
The project, developed by the Centre for Family Business Management and commissioned by Aspiag Service Srl, aims to study how generational change is managed in the 21st century, placing particular emphasis on entrepreneurial dynasties and on the effect of generational change on the use of traditions (of family and business) for innovation. To this end, a theoretical and empirical investigation will be conducted. At an empirical level, the study will be focused on a sample of entrepreneurial families affiliated with Aspiag Service Srl. A qualitative approach will be used to study thse entrepreneurial families to understand how generational transitions are faced in such families and to derive both theoretical and practical implications. To identify the sample of entrepreneurial families a preliminary questionnaire will be sent out to all the entrepreneurial families affiliated with Aspiag Service Srl. The study aims to highlight relevant implications for promoting the success of the succession processes that the entrepreneurial families affiliated with Aspiag Service Srl, and not, will face in the coming decades.
